Dealing with Difficult Emotions

Even if we’re #donewithCOVID, COVID isn’t done with us. We’ll be seeing the impact of two years of remote and hybrid learning for years.


What we need, now more than ever, is a way for students to understand what they’re experiencing. Anxiety. Panic. Stress. Loneliness. Depression. All kinds of difficult emotions that can be paralyzing UNLESS students have the tools to cope with them. These feelings aren’t inherently dangerous. Especially if we have ways of understanding them, of putting them in context, of living with them as visitors instead of invaders.


That’s why I’m introducing Dealing with Difficult Emotions, a set of five mindfulness practices you can share with students with minimal preparation. Each practice comes with Teacher Notes that provide additional context for you, a few introductory slides for students, a guided audio practice, and reflection questions to wrap it all up.
